Director, KGW Television; Portland, OR                                           8/93 to 5/07

Directed and TD’d fast-paced, live shot intensive newscasts, breaking news, sports programs and special productions. Operated Grass Valley Kalypso production switcher, Chyron Duet and Quantel Graphics. Coordinated floor director, audio, tape, camera, graphics, and master control operators. Prepared production cues and automated elements for air. Worked with producers, and talent to create show rundown, and format and compile scripts. Generated and managed automated production cues for tape and graphics. Produced, edited and converted content for KGW.COM. Also acted as AD and broadcast operator, running audio, cameras and graphics.

Satellite Coordinator / MCO, KYES Television; Anchorage, AK           8/92 - 5/93

Scheduled and coordinated all satellite operations. Supervised and trained staff, maintained and operated equipment. Acted as operations manager. MCO duties included implementing and maintaining on air logs, switched all on air material. Produced and edited promotional material, edited program content for broadcast and operated camera.

Directed and engineered live news segments to network stations. Pre-produced news elements and other programs for APRN, APR and National Public Radio.

Switched and supervised production staff for live multi-camera newscast.
